NBA總裁Adam Silver今日表示，將在本賽季結束後重新評估一場比賽所需進行的時間，希望能盡可能地減少拖延比賽的狀況，必要時可能會縮減廣告、以及單節進行時間，讓比賽更能符合觀眾的習慣。
一場NBA比賽時長48分鐘，但實際上這個數字還得加上暫停、罰球，以及一些人為的意外因素，導致一場比賽下來常常會超出他本來預期地進行時間。
Silver在今日的倫敦賽開始前對此表示，將會在賽季結束後重新評估這一點。「在聯盟辦公室，我們計算每場比賽的耗時，我們清楚地知道每個回合需要多長時間。並且，我們也可以根據對應的每分鐘的收視率，從而了解球迷在什麼時候可能會換台。」
事實上，各大聯盟在想方設法地縮短比賽時間已經不是新聞，MLB總裁Rob Manfred就表示可能會用限制後援投手的方式，來縮短一場比賽所需時間。而NBA當局也曾在2014-15賽季的季前賽中，出現過單場僅44分鐘的比賽，並且移除了第二節和第四節的兩個電視暫停。
因此下一季或許單節比賽時間會因此受到一些變動，也是有可能的事。

「魔球」軍團奧克蘭運動家隊終於在季末出手補強，以600萬美元一年約簽下外野手Rajai Davis（戴維斯），他去年幫印地安人隊打進世界大賽。
Rajai Davis36歲，但他去年盜壘43次，位居美聯盜壘王寶座，而他也繳出打擊率2成49，出賽134場。
運動家隊很希望他未來鎮守中外野大關，而這也將會是他第二次回到運動家隊，2008年他曾轉戰運動家，後來2010年前往藍鳥隊發展。
